The world has changed a lot since those times when companies made themselves known through flyers that a guy in a sandwich costume distributed on the street. Times where a car sale was easy to recognize thanks to a huge inflatable doll moving everywhere with the wind, to announce the company, and to make a statement: “here we are”.

Of course, all those times sound wonderful, but the world has changed a lot, and although it is possible to find a company that continues to advertise itself through these sorts of strategies, they are very few, and the results are not particularly good.

The accelerated technological advance brought with it an invitation for the entire commercial area, to join the advancement or stop fighting. Computers, industrialization, digitization. If you want to remain afloat, you have to join the party.

Like many processes that have been facilitated thanks to the vast technological advances in the world, communication, in this business case, has been one of them. Thanks to the internet, the reach of a message is enormous, and thanks to technological advances it can also be measured.

The popular platforms known as social networks came to make a boom within populations, now almost everybody has at least one social network. So, in terms of business communication, it has become much easier to reach different populations through these platforms.

However, all populations are different. Each person has complex thoughts and perceptions, this is why the management of social networks must be done with the utmost care to avoid counterproductive actions and the creation of a bad brand image.

From the kind of content to the way in which the brand responds to users, there are key points that must be strategically planned to ensure the message arrives in the best way, and that the population gets it in an effective and pleasant way, for the foundation of a good brand image in the consumer’s mind.

A marketing professional knows not only the markets and how to study them correctly but also, have specialized knowledge on each social network, the right way to use them, the varieties of populations that have the most traffic on each platform, the type of content that users want to see, and the kind of personality the brand must have when responding to users.

For example, some company made a mistake in a post, all of a sudden, people start to mock the company’s mistake. It’s important to proceed in a specific way: first, apologize for the mistake if someone was offended. Second, take it easy in the comments of the people, do not respond in a bad way, and the last place: decide if it is correct to repost without the mistake this time.

That’s why the critical eye and professional knowledge of marketing coordinators are necessary, they know the suitable and most effective ways to have a presence on social networks and create effective communication with potential customers.

The world changed, and with it our way of seeing and doing things, it is important to understand the need to address these technology and update trains as the adoption of social networks, websites, and digital platforms.
